We are delighted to announce Maria Grasso as our candidate for Portley in the Tandridge District Council elections on 6 May 2021.
Here is a message from her to Portley residents:
Over-development of urban areas is of real concern to me. The Anne’s Walk site is an example of this, and it continues to be of concern in the way it is being run on a day-to-day level. As district councillor I will be vigilant on any future proposals and work to protect back gardens and open spaces from inappropriate over-development. ensure that everything is done to help local residents during the processes involved. Instigating and organising the on-line petition against the current Church Walk proposals has provided in-depth experience of the planning process. This experience will be invaluable in any future planning debate were I to represent you.
I grew up locally and with family still there and friends in Foxon Lane, continued to visit the area before later returning to make Caterham my home. I am not overburdened with too many other roles and so I can promise full commitment to the residents of Portley Ward.
