Taylor considers himself a community activist and is currently the Co-Chair of East Surrey Young Conservatives, and Deputy Chairman Membership of Horley Conservatives. He is proud to serve his community in Westway as a District Councillor.

He is a lifelong Tandridge resident, living in Caterham Valley and Bletchingley before moving to Westway in 2017 and Horley in 2023.
